Try again next month!

Max and I will have to try again for a baby next month! This was only the first month of trying so I am not that upset. I know we'll get it right soon!

Field trip in the middle of the week???

Danielle's school is having a field trip for the entire 5th grade to go to Jekyll Island. The problem is it's from Mon-Wed. during a school week. I looked at the school calendar and it's business as usual for the rest of the school. Here's the problem:

1) We can't really afford it
2) We don't want her going on a trip that far without one of US going along to watch out for her.
3) If she doesn't go,she will have to go and sit in a room with the other kids who's parents either couldn't afford it or wouldn't allow it. So she said everyone will "know." Whatever that means.

Well, we could probably shuffle some things around and afford it, and we could probably work it out where Max goes with her, and I can handle things while they are gone, but WHO DOES THIS??? It all just seems wrong...

TTC Woes.

Waiting and patience are not easy things for me. TTC involves quite a lot of both. lol

Right now I am 12 DPO and last night I have some light pink spotting and some mild cramps. I was expecting my period to come and I counted this month as a failure. So, I put on a pad and went to bed. Typically when I spot the first signs of my period it's a matter of hours before the heavy flow starts. I woke up this morning and the pad was clean. I am thinking (or hoping) that it was implantation bleeding, but I took the test and it was negative. Of course I am not even due until Wednesday or maybe later (since I am not REALLY sure how long my cycle is)....

I guess I will wait until Wednesday and test again...

T.G.I.F.

Friday 4:30pm:

I am so thankful that today is Friday. It's been a difficult week. With Annie's jaw infection and the baby I keep's constant crying... I am just thankful for the weekend.

Alex has a basketball game on Saturday, and then on Sunday I am going to have my haircut. Exciting, huh?

The Gammon Family

I guess I should start this blog by introducing my family. I am Crystal. I am 27 years old, and married to my wonderful husband Max (41) for less than a year now. Together we have three children. The circumstances by which we have these children is quite unconventional, and it will all come out in this blog a little at a time. Soon enough the connections will be made, but I will let all that come out naturally. For now, I want to introduce my family as I see it: a perfectly loving and natural family.

Danielle is our oldest. She is 12 years old and at the core of it all she is a very sweet child. She is a challenge every day. She tends to be timid, and she doesn't understand some cruelties of circumstance that have been placed on her shoulders. Actually, we don't understand that either. She is also creative and caring. With time, she will be just fine.

Alex is our five year old little man. He is a sweet soul. As he grows older he seems to be much like his sister Danielle. Timid and confused about life. At other times he is funny, and very unlike any other child you could meet. He loves to dress up in character: Cowboy, business man, special opp. soldier, etc. When in character he expects everyone to treat him like that character. He is a very funny kid. I am looking forward to seeing what he does with his life. Whatever he does, I know he'll be GREAT at it!

Annie is our five year old girl. She and Alex are not twins. Annie is younger by two weeks. Annie is our most difficult child. She is also the most creative. Her behavior can sometimes get out of control, but if you earn her trust, the love she can show is amazing. She tends to be mean at times to Alex and Danielle, but there is no doubt that she loves them. We are working on how she treats them, and she is getting better. I am not worried. She is our artist. She creates beautiful art via pencil drawings and paint. I see great things for her future!

Max is the greatest man and father that God could have placed in our family. He shows patience when I have none, and is the strength when I have none left. I have known him since I was 17, but we have only been together nearly three years. Married less than one year. We are currently trying to have our own child. Genevieve Louise or Theodore Charles (Vivie and Teddy).

There isn't much to say about me. I am very different, but it is safe to say that everyone is very different. You can learn about me through this blog.
